London calling

I am lucky to live so close to London. We visited again this week with friends; this time to show them around the newly developed Kings Cross area and Coal Drops Yard (designed by Thomas Heatherwick) and then on to Battersea Power Station. I just had to take a few more shots of the Gasholders! A different angle this time.

Battersea Park Power Station is a delight for photographers. WilkinsonEyre are the architects of the major restoration and repurposing of the Power Station. The architecture of some of the new buildings alongside are amazing (Frank Gehry) and most unusual (see below).

Once inside the Power Station, you are struck by the enormous space and the fantastic restoration.

I really liked this wonderful staircase

I love these steps at BPS

Before we left we sat outside, had a cup of tea, admired the view and the reflections.

Thanks for looking
