Competition week

This week I have found that entering photographic competitions @ https://photocrowd.com has enhanced my knowledge and understanding of what makes a 'good/popular' photograph (different things of course!). It has also been a lot of fun. I have especially enjoyed looking at and rating other people's photographs. It was helpful that I had already sorted many of my photographs into themes (see my previous blog).

La Folie Douce, Tignes

Brighton Belles

Courtyard in Naples

I entered a couple of photos into ‘Performing Arts' section (below)

Busking at Blackfriars

I have many photographs of bicycles, so it wasn’t difficult to choose a few to enter this competition.

Cyclists in New Zealand

Bicycles in Budapest

There was an 'Expert'- judged competition called 'Farming'. I didn't think I had anything to enter for this, but I found two photos of pigs! Pigs were not highly featured in the competition, so maybe that's why I was awarded a 'Merit' by the judge.

Finally, a rather unusual one called 'Shopping Trollies'. My shot came in the top 25%.

Thanks for looking.
