'P' for Photographer - playing with words

Hello Readers

If you have been reading my blogs you will know that I am new to Street photography - although I have taken many photographs in the streets over the years, it is not the same thing of course.

For those of you who know me, words have been a large part of my career and business, being an Academic Writing tutor and a Proofreader for some years. When I started to read about street photography, the letter 'P' kept leaping out at me!

  • I have a PASSION for PHOTOGRAPHY

  • I need to have a PLAN of where to go - PLACE

  • Be PREPARED - what to take with me

  • I need a PROJECT, some ideas/themes to PURSUE - have a PURPOSE

  • In the PUBLIC space; be PRESENT, be PATIENT, be POLITE

  • Enjoy PEOPLE-watching

  • Think of the POWER and POTENTIAL of the image

  • Learn how to frame the PICTURE

Enjoy being a PHOTOGRAPHER!

Here are a few shots I took recently whilst travelling (Inter-railing around Europe).

Thanks for looking. Comments most welcome.
